... sure if it was Hamburg or not as there wasn’t anything written in English) looked prior to, during and after WWII. Quite an impact on the senses to see the devastation caused by the war, very sad. It is hard to imagine how anyone survived, let alone rebuilt the towns and cities.

... immigration (using the automated e-gate system ) the bike boxes were already out by thr time we got to the carousel! The small duffle bag took some time to arrive, however. The boxes appeared relatively unscathed from their journey. We went through customs with no problems and found a quiet place in the terminal to unpack the bike boxes.

... and lena and her boyfriend mike were standing smiling waiting for me! So off we went, we decided we would go into hamburg city as it was a Saturday night. There is this awesome carnival thing on called the Dom, anyway it has all these rides etc so mike and I went on quite a few, lena doesn't like rides so she just watched. We had a blast! We went on one which is 62m high! And it rotates the whole way round, it was brilliant! The carnival is only ...
