Sorry for not blogging lately but the time here in laid back Lapland is flying by. We've been here in the north for over three weeks now after spending a week in the south visiting friends and seeing some of eastern Finland. Until the last minute I was indecisive about where to go next. I had the great opportunity to go to Tromsa in the north of Norway to meet Liv again. A girl I met in Mongolia last year. ... this center focuses on the old Finnish traditions and poems that have been written. The place is still actively used today, not only to inform tourists but more so to use as a place for locals to have gatherings and special meetings. Hopefully a photo my first spotted reindeer will be attached to the next story.....

Fight from London to Kuusamo, Finland and then bus transfer to Iso Syote hotel - approximately 50 minutes. Hotel Iso-Syöte is located on top of the fell, in a unique and picturesque viewpoint. Outdoor routes begin right from the hotel door. The hotel has 30 double rooms, a number of them with a picturesque view over the fell area. There is also a swimming pool and sauna.
