... Oddyssey. What a show it was phenomenal, the onboard dancers and singers presented the show but the marvel was the earth harp. Basically a series of wires running from the stage up to the balcony that a man called Jonathan played expertly. He also played drums, 3 guitars at one time and a jacket made up of percussion plates. ... We also did two lots of swimming one at telegraphic island and another at another island.

Even I went swimming and anyone who knows me knows I hate swimming in the middle of the ocean. We had a go at snorkelling and saw heaps of zebra type fish. I was told there was reef sharks but was very thankful that we did not see any!

Overall we had a great time in Oman but it was a very wierd feeling having visited another country for the day.

... square in Khasab, with the locals, sitting on plastic chairs… no high-rises anywhere, a gentle breeze and no particular place to be at, except where we were. Too bad Fabyan is such a social bird that he could not come. He would have enjoyed the half day dhow cruise and seeing the coloured fish while we snorkelled, or admired the many dolphins who followed the boat for a while.

... that we are having more fun than anyone else in the Minstel Dining Room on Deck Four. We are positioned far from the door and in the center beneath the two story vaulted ceiling, served by the very gregarious Edin and his very subdued assistant waiter. We switched our seats all around last night with the couples separated from each other and closed the restaurant down. The excess of champagne and wine is due to the vices I have learned from these veteran cruisers. ...
