5th November 2014 Our baguette and eggs came and went before our journey started to Nha Trang; the opening twenty minutes or so providing the most entertainment. Initially the bus that picked everyone up from their respective hotels before they were split on to appropriate buses for their destinations saw friction between the attendant and a passenger over where there bag was. The second instalment was an Australian couple, obviously had a few brewskis the night before couldn't ...

Well that was very new experience. We boarded the train 20 minute after the expected time of arrival. We were the only Westerners getting on. You have to cross the other train tracks to get onto the train, then pull yourself up onto the steps. If yo were short you would find it hard. The train was so dirty and looked so old from the outside. We booked soft seats, but when we got there the hotel in Nha Trang obviously ...

I had heard quite negative things about Nha Trang before our arrival there so was not expecting to like the place but I was pleasantly surprised. True, the town is not the nicest town there is, it is the Russians' Magaluf so there are a lot Russian restaurants around, but the beach is huge and a perfect place to laze around and catch some rays.

... shack-like house on the side of the road. We sat at the smallest possible table and chairs and were given a Vietnamese treat of a glass of fresh soya milk and a rice cake. The rice cake wasn't anything like a snackajack, instead it was a sweet, slightly salty sponge like thing and was served with a mixture of finely cut nuts and sugar to dip in. Surprisingly tasty and a way the locals make some extra money! At this point the clear blue skies had disappeared and instead ...

... testing in the 80s. Not sure what the real back story is, but this is a site dan could not miss. The tour started on Orchid Island, a beautiful beach spot with some trained animals in the mix. We fed a baby bear, some ostriches, and later saw that same bear drive a motorbike-not kidding! But the highlight of the day was monkey island, by far. It took a minute to realize that the monkeys were everywhere, literally. On the ground, in the trees, on the trash cans, ...
