Taking a ride to Diskit. Initially wanted to take off at 7, but of course with all the fueling, etc I was on the road only at 10. On the way I made a small accident - hit a female donkey which was running away like there is no tomorrow from a mating male. Of course I have also mistaken with the road, and had to take a shortcut to the proper way. At the beginning it all looked very nice - the road was in a very good condition, the riding was pleasant.

... with the last section of dirt. Even this last section was not straight forward, first we have to obtain a pass to access the road, then there is the road itself, just to make it more exciting there is sand and gravel on just about every turn and switchback. There are signs everywhere about road safety but by simply cleaning this hazard away would have made this road so much safer. Oh well such is life in India.

... stirring. massive quantities of mashed hacked apricot bits, buncha sugar, big stick to stir. and to splatter hot apricot on my thumbs and toes. yes. one casualty. burnt spot on my thumb. no biggie. from that day forth i have not touched an apricot. although they do still smell good. i think i just need a break from them. and to not have them splattered on my clothing, in my hair or my fingers glued together with apricot slime.
