... guys were playing a pair of bamboo xylophones … endlessly, but in a relaxing way.

Jeez, their roads are narrow. It seemed to be just over one lane wide, but there was a lot of traffic zipping both ways. Twisty too, so there’s lot’s of honking (nice honking) and giving way. And literally thousands of motorbikes, carrying everything from a dozen tires or a few dozen loaves of bread, to a family of four.

... monkey pack leader jumped up on his head from behind and scared the **** out of him. Instead, we bought some bananas inside under the supervision of a local monkey care taker, and he helped us to get in close contact with the monkeys. He mentioned over and over that we should not touch the monkey, but only let them climb on you and eat his banana. It was a nice experience although the monkeys were a bit too aggressive when having bananas, so we just had to go without ...

Back in van for a 2 hour journey back to Seminyak for our final cultural experience of Bali traffic jams. 30 minutes to ravel 100 m? OK, I'm exaggerating, its was only 50 m. Anyway, safety back in the hotel. Despite the whinge, all in all was a great day and all for $45 per head, it was a bargain.
