... tootling along the road, no owner in sight, never once getting in the way of traffic. At night they tootle home again (we suspect they stop for a pie and a pint on the way). Perhaps it's not surprising that they want to be alone as the locals eat dog in some places we've been. The owner of one place we stayed in Indonesia told us we were welcome to eat a dog while we were there, as long as we didn't eat his.

... watch the kecak dance together. It was not what I expected it to be and to be honest I didn't enjoy it. Its a shame I didn't know the story behind it before I watched it otherwise it might have helped me understand it. After the dance we went to a cheap place to eat. ... yet another stormy day. We got picked up at the hotel by shuttle at eleven thirty. A quick drive up to the next beach, for tickets and the boat.
