    ... concerts there. I was on the stage at one point but I don't project well enough for such a theatre :(

    While the theartre has never been used as an arena for gladiators we had a couple rioaming around for photos. Anna took them on!!

    We also came across a group of bikers on a tour of Turkey on BMWs who will apparently be following our itinerary for the next few days. We di come across them all day at each stop.

    ... if you don't stop them the food keeps coming as your wallet gets emptier, we said no to the feast offered but as the rain intensified so too did the food on our table.     ... all covered in neon strips that change colour ever few minutes. This holiday has been a bit of a disaster, even without the sickness. We did get to see the wonderful sights of capadoccia, but in retrospect we could have just flown into Antalya and hired a car and been so much more capable of doing what we wanted, rather than be stuck with the tour.     It's raining, but at least the rain's warm! Before it started we walked around a bit and realised that the hotel isn't in Antalya at all, it's on the coast where the road turns inland to go over the mountains to Cappadocia, a place called Alara and in fact is over half way to Alanya, which is where we stayed when we first came to Turkey some 40 years ago.     ... Anatalya and after more GPS misguidance, found Aspendos (Aspestos is my way of remembering it) which was an ancient Greco-Roman city. founded around 1000 BC by Greeks on the Eurymedon River. The amphitheatre has been renovated and is still used today. (More pics)
