      ... But we decided on the original hotel we had picked out, Hotel Salama. We got a spacious clean room with a balcony overlooking a small square where a couple of comedians were entertaining a circle of people. At Kasbah Restaurant, we enjoyed a great dinner of beef tajine with prunes and tasty Moroccan salad.

      We were happy to learn that the weekly market is on Wednesday's. That's tomorrow!

      ... the vast urban grasp of Agadir, and it was getting darker and darker, with no one else stopping. The cars just sped past and even sent puddles of water over us.
      One man in a jeep parked upnearby and watched us for a while, after which he asked Ian why we were hitching. Ian said that we travelled on very little money. Amazingly, before driving off, the man handed Ian 100 dirhams, telling him to pay for a taxi with it for the rest of the way to Tiznit. So ...

The gift that I ended up with is a brass mortar and pestel, which with the weight of the tajine (heavy clay Moroccan cooker) that Kim gave me and the additional weight of all of those Christmas decorations and baking supplies, is going to make it nearly impossible for me to return home without a small army of hired porters!
