... evening concert featuring Maria Muldaur. No opening act, just three hours of Ms Muldaur in the former Napa Opera Hall. Dianne needs some R&R at the hotel while Bob returns to collect the dog. Time to trade shorts and sandals for slacks, a dress and real shoes and return for dinner and the show. She might be 71, but still has one heck of a voice. We popped into this winery hoping? expecting? it too have some good food offerings like Hunter Valley or Christchurch but no. ... shop with the best wineries in the area and started our little trip. The first winery was Sterling vineyard and was pretty huge and well set up. Going up the mountain with a gondola, our first wine was waiting for us at the top. The landscape around Napa Valley is beautiful and enjoying the views accompanied by a nice wine made it even better. To our surprise the glasses of wine you get are pretty big and there's limited possibilities ...

... all at different stages of their own journeys. Not that I’m any kind of expert, but we did stay across the street from a Holiday Inn Express the other night (ahh haha- done like Dads low pitched fake laugh) and I did read various things at the visitor’s centers about the history of the bridge. I learned that Joseph Strauss, the same man that wrote a poem I saw etched into a sign displayed in the Redwood forest, proposed the original design for ...
