... we ended up going to the Academy of Science for the day, and then on to McDonalds for lunch. The kids enjoyed the day out. On the way back, Netty turned Ava's chair around so that it faces forward not back, and she was not happy. So I ended up driving the left hand drive, on the wrong side of the road, from SF city, over the Golden Gate bridge and on to San Rafael. Woohoo ... keep to the right, ...

Scenery was grand both in Nevada and in the Sierra. My favorite part was Carson Pass with the rounded granite, almost treeless landscape, and the deep blue mountain lakes. But the best sight was the old homestead, and my lovely wife -- there truly is no place like home.
