Wow where did the last week go? After returning from Cartagena we had a week to get our pods packed and move out of the house. Despite a sunny start the fog came down again because of the nearness to the river. It is quite a wetland area. We left hwy 101 and took the 255 to Eureka via the bridges over the Humbolt River connecting Woodley Island. The fog disappeared so we had a walk round Eureka's Historic Old Town. After leaving Stanford, we headed north for a brief visit to wine country in Napa, and did a tour of the Robert Mondavi Winery.
1. It is possible to make white wine from red grapes as long as you remove the red skins.
2. Making wine is serious business in this part of the world.
