    ... is completely different!... Also the hostel owner in Tainan took me many places and she always made me welcome, the small hostel felt like home for a while, another typhoon chased me down whilst here and also I experienced a mini earthquake one day (minor earthquakes are fairly common in Taiwan) it was enough to rattle the sliding doors and only lasted a few seconds, but a strange experience!     The Lonely Planet gave us a suggested walking tour of temples and local sights in the centre of Tainan, near where we were staying. As we had limited time, we thought this was a great idea and on Sunday 13th, did a long walk around lots and lots of temples.     ... at the hotel was surprisingly good with many local dishes and fruits. Then it's an 8 km one way walk to the other old fort located at the original port for Taiwan.
