... were wasting energy. The outside light is a dinky little CFL light bulb on the corner of the house that doesn't even light the door enough for us to unlock it; we have to carry flashlights. I am quite sure we are wasting energy, but I don't think that light is going to make the difference! In any case, I think I will tape the switch off since the light doesn't do us any good anyway and we can't tell if it is on from inside our house (or during daylight hours).

... too many of the 1 litre happy hour beers (happy hour goes from midday to 6pm!) for HUF 590 (less than $3) each!! Even outside happy hour the beers were only HUF 300 ($1.40 extra). We loved Budapest already!

... of being dragged up and down hills, the street had been an easy flat walk just down the street from the church as we passed it on our way to the tram. We took a tram going around the circle route from Pest to Buda and got off a short walk from the hotel. I had investigated the route and we walked by one of the Unitarian churches in Budapest. We had a lovely dinner at a restaurant just down the street from our hotel - pork and Hungarian red wine. Excellent. ...
