... stained glass. It depicts 1113 scenes from Creation to Christ's resurrection. We also visited Notre Dame as Bern had not been for a while. Spent the afternoon wandering through La Grande Epicerie at Bon Marche an update market department were we brought a range of goodies for dinner. Which was all yum washed down by some more Moët!! Took our first hike...walked from Szentendre to the Skanzen Open Air Museum which is built on the same principle as Sturbridge Village. Our walk wa approximately 12.3 miles! So proud of ourselves. There were many tour groups but it was not too crowded so we had a good explore of the little town.

For lunch we had a wonderful goulash soup with bread. Always a good meal in itself .rich and tasty with meaty pieces and carrots and potatoes. We sat beside the Danube River for the lunch.

... along the roadsides was up for sale, and we were told they were selling for less than half what they had been worth, so if you want a holiday home close to the river in Hungary, about $30,000 (15,000) would see you moving in.

The boat ride back was pleasant, but I guess we had spent so much time on the Danube already that we were not terribly impressed.

It was getting cold in the evenings here, but the restaurants are very clever ...
