... diversion into Great Smoky Mountain National Park to see the fall colors. A week from tomorrow, we'll be back at our friend Pat's Place, in Webster, Florida, where warm weather awaits!

The colors have started to change up here - will upload a couple of pics taken today as we're traveing.

Aiming to be back in Nanaimo by September 1st but we'll see how things develop and how the roads are.

This journey is to be savoured.

... The publication of my little book coincides with the 35th anniversary of Stampa Alternativa, founded in 1971 by Marcello Baraghini and based in the little Tuscany yown of Viterbo. Stampa has a bookstore in the village of Pitigliano where their 4th annual literary festival will be held on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, with nighttime events to take place in a former schoolyard a few kilometers down the road at the hamlet of Elmo ...

... of the flight. I swear. So I tried to sleep, but to no avail I ended in Dallas and was feeling so ill and I knew that I needed sleep. So actually got like 3 seats to myself on the way back to Michigan and that was nappy that I will always remember. I proceeded to stay up until midnight and think that I have adjusted fairly well to the time now. Back to the grind. I do hope that you have enjoyed my travels....I know that I did. See you next time.
