Public transportation in Italy is phenomenal. You really could live here without a car. We decided to take the FrecciaRossa (high speed) from Bologna to Bari. ... shop that was set up temporarily from the Milano Expo 2015 that ended in October. Inside were little bottles of Modena's Balsamic. I tasted several samples of the certified balsamic. It is aged at least 12 years and some bottles I sampled were aged 24 years! Oh my....sweet, intense---yum.

Of course it's time for food. ...

So, we finally arrive in Bologna late Thursday morning. We find our AirBnB, dump our luggage and hit the streets of Bologna. We find a narrow little alleyway with markets, shops and bars. ... the view was stunning. We could have probably stayed up there forever. But then the bell rang. And it was LOUD.

Some dumb time to climb a bell tower. On the hour. Who does that?

But then, back on the ground, I bought a beautiful sweater at a store called Pull & Bear. Retail therapy works twice as well in Europe.

... The guy said three o'clock in Italian, I kept saying, two thirty in English, half an hour. Nah. Wouldn't let me in. *******ido. I even showed him my watch and said only short time ok. Noo. Shooed me out muttering. Shame. Found my Piazza which meant nearly home, bought a gelato lemonade ice block and found my way home. It was a good walk 10:00 till 3:30.

Steve arrived home about 4:00 with good tales of his day too. Enjoyed the factory, ...
