Well, another long drive heading towards JFK airport, getting closer to our final destination. We had to return our rental to Jersey City so decided to stay not too far away from that, but also so that we could go to another 'Outlet' Mall. ... back for our lunch at Jean Georges restaurant at Trump Towers. We had a beautiful three course lunch. Caught the subway down to the 911 Memorial and that was it for the day. It was brilliant, with Greek, American, and English Art, with everything from Monet to Rubens (just namedropping here to pretend I’m intelligent). I can’t recommend it enough, even for people like me who just like pretty pictures.

The following day, I toned down the crazy tourist in me, and just went Christmas shopping in the Rockefeller, which even had its own ice ...

Day 8 NYC - 9/11 tribute, Statue of Liberty

Downtown this morning directly to the World Trade Centre and 9/11 tribute centre. The two massive waterfalls in the exact footprints of the two towers that fell are surrounded by landscaped trees and the new buildings replacing those that fell will surround this special space. One World Trade Centre looks to be nearing completion now and will be the tallest in Manhattan once again I believe. As a ...
