... to pick up then through a few of the little Alpine villages before getting to the Gorge so it's a lovely ride. Then the walk itself along the gorge is amazing, the entrance fee is €4 a person. You walk alongside the river where the water is crystal clear and runs at amazing speed through a limestone chasm. There has been an astonishing amount of work to make paths and boardwalks along most of the way so ...

Plenty of ...

After freezing last night (13C at best) we woke to cloudy skies and we possibly over compensated with long trousers. The sun shone and by lunch we were hot! After breakfast we got a quick taxi into town to do the sites. We walked through the very beautiful tidy streets and ended up in a wonderful central vegetable market, you could have bought anything and ...

No Jetlag

... the locals. The night got a bit messy and to add to the jetlag was a mild hangover the next day.

So the next day I went to Slovenia to see a few friends I met there last time. It’s a beautiful country and it has a great culture, but there weren’t any crazy stories to come out of it. After getting back to Vienna for a night I was due to catch the busabout bus to Salzburg, which I was only riding because I get ...
