... the castle was that it grows the offspring of the oldest grape vine in Slovenia and that they used to leave prisoners exposed to the elements in outside cages and forget about them... kind stuff.

After the castle we checked out the Dragon Bridge and Triple Bridge which were very sweet and then heard a story about the naked woman statue in the centre of the square- apparently the religious zealots kept trying to cover her with clothes ...

The only difference is there are more people here! It is charming, not too touristy (one afternoon we watched local children and dogs play in the town square) and has GREAT food. We went to the same restaurant two evenings in a row. It was that good. Leo ate the best pasta ...

... to hang out for a solid hour while the train was checked and passports stamped. I got the third degree on my where abouts and why I was headed to Slovenia. I actually had to try to convince the guy I wanted to go to Ljubljana. He gave me the stink eye and made me stand up, take off my hat and glasses. I was getting ready for the full body cavity search but luckily I was able to talk my way into having this guard believe that ...
