A day of surprises as we ventured off to Slovenia. First we headed south back down the coast we had sailed to check out Sistania which looked awful from the sea but the locals said was very pretty. We drove through Duino, a pretty little port then wound down into Sistania which had a lovely beach, a big Marina and a whole new developement just like Port Solent. Definitely one worth ...

... two hills and these are covered with rich beech forests. The Slovanians have constructect a tourist trail though this wild gorge, crossing over the river in many places quite spectacular. The walk took around 40 minutes each way and ended at a spectacular waterfall 16 meters tall. The gorge is closed in winter as it is slippery and very narrow in places and the water comes up to the made paths.
