October 12, Sunday Gorge, Waterfall and Antayla

This morning we left (almost forgetting to pay for our dinner)!! Firstly, the bus took us to the Saklikent Gorge. It was a great gorge – we walked through it – Craig venturing further through the wet bits. Once again a lovely day weather wise.

The travertine have attracted people to the area for 1000's of years. The ancient town of Hierapolis is based here at the top of the hill. There is a lot to explore and only 1 hour to do it. I paddled in happily, in a small series of pools ...

    ... to be.

Next was one of the things most tour participants dislike. Yesterday it was a jewellery outlet and today a leather outlet. Some, I admit, paid outlandish prices for both. Most, paced the floor and wanted to escape pretty soon after being corralled into the room. I will say no more!

Lunch was at a peaceful spot by a river - name not recorded but it was pleasant and then ...
