      ... all around the area. David and I took many pictures. In some areas they had photographs of the destruction that took place in WWII. The photos showed the before and after reconstruction. Visited two Catholic churches that had been reconstructed as they once were. The architecture shows the influence of Dutch.
      Our time is up and we must return to the airport.

      ... wide water fight. Other highlights in Thailand include our time in Kanchanaburi, where we visited the Death Railway and a terrific night market. Spending a day in Chiang Mai training elephants and then the next day, taking a cooking class were also quite memorable.

      One bonus was that I got to watch Patriot Games an older film from the Tom Clancy series that I have been reading on all recent trips. Harrison Ford played an awesome Jack Ryan, the central figure in these books. For Lynne, a re-watch of last season's Downton Abbey was more to her liking. We haven't had time to settle into it this season but once we are back home, I am sure that it will be on our first to watch ...
