... the snow on them, made for a really picture postcard effect. One of Antalya's claims to fame is that you can swim and ski within an hour of each other - that's how close the mountains are. Today we stopped at one of the restaurants in the marina, bought ourselves our rapidly-becoming favourite drink (Efes Beer) and sat and watched the world go by. The temperature was 20C according to a thermometer we saw down ...

      Pamukkale

We left the hotel this morning to head to the white terraces of Pamukkale. By the way, I won the battle with the hotel - yes, one up for the tourist! A six hour bus trip from Konya to Antalya on the Turkish Mediterranean coast. It is Turkey's biggest sea resort and in 2013 was the third most visited city in the world after Paris and London. It has 300 days of sunshine a year! Beats Melbourne!!

We travelled through stunning mountain countryside with snow capped mountains with the temperature falling to zero degrees. Some of the mountains were ...

      Burning stones!...

... feeling these two temperatures at the same time. Once rested we kept walking towards Olympos. There was not much to see there. All the ruins were in bad shape but we did enjoy walking in the cold spring and walking in a jungle looking place. We went back to the beach and swam again. We went back to the hotel to rest and recharge our batteries. At night we went to burning stones. There was another 3 kilometers to get there too but the owner of the ...
