    ... whilst I bought one to replace the pair I left in the hotel at Mantova. Later in the day I also bought a very comfortable pair of sandals – with cork heels. Let's hope they last, as they are very comfortable.     ... Antalya is 2nd best to Istanbul in my books). I wandered the old city in the morning before the majority of shops were open which was wonderful. The laneways are big enough to take cars, but the old stone buildings and cobblestone roads are beautiful and the streets are full of shops, Pensions (small hotels) and cafes. I encountered a lot of Turkish men sitting outside, trying to get me in to look at their shops. They are harmless enough and rather than ignore them, I tend to say ...

    ... Very casual place. No big hotels or fancy places. I'm staying in a tree house and that says it all. But nice. And the beach is also nice although could do with sand and not pebbles - my feet need "soft" stuff underneath them. Spent a bit of time on it but really it is just too hot to sunbathe. 43 in the shade and definately more on the beach in the sun.
