... no convincing. Back in the cab and back to the Hotel for a swim and rest before we negotiate this town once more before we head off tomorrow morning back to Delhi and from there 'out of India'. Good name for a movie!!!!

Mumbai has been interesting. She has challenged all of our senses and all of our comforts, she has romanced us with traces of the British rule and excited us with scenes where terrorists have attacked. This story relates to the time ...

Another noted difference was the birdlife; where in the London you have the fat
pigeons and in Durban there is the Indian minor in Mumbai the streets are full
of black crows, one even pooed ...

Unfortunately the construction work in the hotel continued into the night (until Jack asked them to stop which they did almost straight away) and there were planes flying impossibly low every 20 minutes or so: although not the best nights sleep I've had it was great to have a bed and a shower before heading back to the airport for our flight to Kerala first thing in the morning. After some much needed sleep we head down for breakfast bright and early at 7:30am. Fresh coffee, scrambled eggs with spicy green sauce and a dosa seem an appropriate way to fuel up for our walk about town. We head onto the street at about 8:30am and the temperature is already pushing into the low 30's. Mumbai attacks all your senses at once leaving little time for acclimatization. We can feel the humid heat get under our shirts and ...
