... long taxi drive to my hotel prompted a little new buzz of excitement. We flew in over some incredible mountain ranges, and it was surreal to see the huuuuuuuuge stretch of the slums next to the runway. There's something I love about being in city traffic, especially in a new part of the world. I think I love the idea of being anonymous in a city the size of the whole of Australia's population. Tomorrow's plans are working out how to get into a Bollywood film ...

... also in the same vein. Got to the hotel feeling really ****, had a (cold) shower and went upstairs to the hotels rooftop cafe which was a small indoor room with unusable wifi. Lisa wanted a break from spice so we ordered a couple of toasties which came with chillies throughout. Popped out agin for a 20 minute walk round the hotel but we just felt to done in to find all the hectic-ness amusing in anyway and went back to go to bed. Bit of a pants day ...

We spent our last few days in Goa relaxing; we were either on the beach, eating or window shopping. Having brought our overnight coach ticket to Mumbai we were forced to get a taxi to Panaji where the coach started as the buses were on strike that day. Just our luck!
