This crazy adventure leads me to a village in Pune, or rather should i say, the very outskirts of pune.

The trip was thanks to my Commercial Vehicle Loans team, who wanted us to shoot a television commercial for their product. The producer we hired was learnt to have selected unique & far away places for his shoots thanks to the agency they hired.

This time they took us to a Village called Parinche gaon(Village). The route led us from the end of ...

Our final big travel was from Goa back up to Mumbai on the night train. All 1st and 2nd class AC tickets had been booked months in advance but our Indian travel rep managed to get us 3 AC, so at least we had a bed of sorts. We all slept to varying degrees, K kept worrying she would fall out of the top bunk on each bend in the track. After reading where we were, Manipur, the drug capital for exporting into South east Asia and home to Guerrilla gangs I was intrigued. Further reading advised me that in order to visit these places, ...

... we walked to the Gateway of India. It was built to commemorate the 1911 visit of King George V and in 1948 was used again to parade off the British giving India Independance. Here we didn't stop getting asked for photos, as soon as we posed for one, it seemed like the entire population of Mumbai came over to get in on the action. Everyone was really polite and friendly so I didn't mind and eventually was left to sit and enjoy the sunset.
On our third day we caught ...

... the carton for the rubbish bin! We move on to the less important caves which are more natural looking although it looks like work is underway to restore them as well. Now we have to run the gauntlet of souvenir sellers to get back down to the quayside where we pick up a ferry back to the mainland. Back on dry land we return to our hotel for packing. Our taxi will be here at 11.30pm for the hour long drive to the airport - we take off at ...
