    ... here next to this beautiful endangered animal that during our lifetime has been almost extinct and then saved. That is an awesome feeling to be here next to them.     ... br> We had all day to shop, before walking to dinner. After dinner, we put our Opera culture classes to the test by attending a traditional Sichuan Opera Variety show. There were several different acts showcased, and it was great to see all of the knowledge we have acquired put into context. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

    ... along the riverbank.That's Mother Nature for you, she's unpredictable.

    Anyways, we were able to see the adorable giant pandas eat a bamboo breakfast, and it is incredible how they can chew through a gigantic pile of bamboo in a very short time. They were really adorable, and I was very glad that James had dragged me there.

    ... side roads and got lost so we stopped for lunch to get our bearings. The little roadside cafe was quaint enough, but as the proprietor prepared to chop the head off our lunch, Cris quickly whisked the granddaughters off to the temple across the street to spare them that trauma. Lunch was good and they knew it was fresh.
