    ... the blow-up bed was malfunctioning so they were both sleeping on the couch! What a way to spend the night before their 50the Wedding Anniversary!!!

    Leisurely breakfasts were enjoyed with no great hurry to head out into the drizzly day but eventually we motivated ourselves and walked into the city along the canal - ending up at the Galleries of Justice Museum. Over to Lauren to tell you all about it....

    ... This involves getting milk from the pasteurizer, and carrying lots of 20L drums to the calf house. There are around 100 calves in pens of 10. After feeding them she has to bed them straw everyday. All the calves are kept inside until they are rising 1’s, so Hannah has to feed them silage with a pitch fork and pellets. Calves are taken off there mothers once they have been cleaned and then are feed colostrum for 3 days by Hannah. Then everything needs to be cleaned ...

    Monday March 23rd Thought meaning that we were in Holland we'd better go and have a look at some windmills. There was a little tourist town called Zaans Schaa that specialised in them so we caught the train along with other windmill enthusiasts and went there.
