... local supermarket and the fruit and vege shop. you have to put on a plastic glove to choose your fruit and veges and their choices are very basic, not spoilt like we are! Larry was very interested in choosing some vino and beers that seem to be in plentiful supply. I think I could have stayed in Canneto a little longer... It is gorgeous. ...

We took advantage of our mobility and drove up the coast to Cefalu today. We decided to just follow the signs and stick to the coast road. I can now honestly say that trying to navigate by sign and negotiate Sicilian small-town traffic is not an easy thing to do. Today we went to Cefalu, a seaside town about an hour away from Palermo. Roads were once again very windy with lovely views. We walked into the main square, and saw the Norman cathedral which is still in use. Mass was on at 9.30 so we attended. There were a lot of children, and the priest then said that they were having first communion next Sunday. Quite a few of the tour group came, lots of Catholics we found out. ...
