... must do - Ancol resort. Ancol was situated a short train ride away from the old town but the station we walked to appeared to no longer exist. Having started in the general direction we ended up walking the whole way through not the best area of Jakarta that's for sure. Navigating heavy traffic, flooded roads and train tracks we eventually made it. Ancol is similar to The Lost World Of Tambun in Malaysia, an area made up of various attractions. Hoping to just look around we had ...

... good snacks we hadn't seen or heard of before! We're staying at Ezta's house this weekend, the lady we met in Lombok and stayed with for a few nights. We had to get a taxi to Ezta's office, which took ages because the traffic in Jakarta is really bad and as always the taxi driver didn't really know where he was going... What a surprise! Ezta then drove us back to her house, which is located in a really nice area of Jakarta. She shares a ...

... about 10-15 minutes and then we were off. The ride was about 7 hours and we spent most of it sleeping. We arrived in Jakarta around 4:30pm and started making our way to the hotel. Once we were walking along the main road a cab stopped to see if we wanted a ride and not wanting to brave the crazy Indonesian sidewalks with our massive bags, we gave in. Once checked in at the hotel it was an afternoon of resting and then we went for dinner at an ...
