... there 2 nights in order to sort out our sleeper train to Vietnam. Nice hostel with a really nice, cheery Chinese girl with absolutely amazing English in charge. She could put on different accents and was very sarcastic, although she had never been out of Asia. Night train was an experience - 13 hours in a 4 berth train with 2 border stops. The Chinese border was very militarily run, with armed guards and very little smiling, but the Vietnamese one was far more laid ...

... Nanning. Heading to the bus station caused a bit of a conference we asked our tour guide if he knew where it was he didn't so a large group formed with no one knowing. I asked a guy who spoke English who kindly pointed us in the right direction. Bus tickets to the border purchased 55 Yuan each. There were two seats available at the end of the bunk beds, which ...

... then I realised we needed to weigh the fruit so Alex queued and I popped back, but when Alex looked over I was surrounded with little children wanting to have their photo taken with me....it was so funny! The we headed outside and a group of teenager girls wanted photos with us, they were so happy and bubbly, it was hilarious especially as I look like a giant compared to them.

... a hill to the exit point of Vietnam, we put our luggage through the x-ray machine and then everyone was pushing trying to get their bags first which was slightly stressful as we were trying to stay with the passengers from our bus. We then had to wait to get our passprt stamped for departing Vietnam, unfortunately most of our bus went through before us and when I passed the security checks and went outside they had already gone. I went for Alex and we stood ...
