Overnight in Johannesburg

... and just enjoy the quirky decor. The only things I really recall from the flight to Johannesburg are that it was really long and KLM serves a ton of food. It's been pretty exhausting so far, but I'm glad to have most of the transit done. I have the flight to Botswana in a little bit. In a few hours, I should be there! I'm looking forward to seeing what it's like and settling ...

... own family and abroad in Germany, Pia HIlbrich is packing just as hysterically as we are and hopefully sleeping just as little as excitement starts to build. :)

On Saterday, 16 December 2012, Pia will be landing in SA and all 8 of us (Two families) will be starting our trip through South Africa.

At the moment though... I am sick and still helping my father find a queen size blow up mattress that he has put away safely enough for us ...

We then saw mountain goats, a Bongo, an Okapi, a herd of Sable antelope, a couple of fat, lazy Dassies, a white Oryx, female kudus, ostriches, a herd of Lechwe antelopes, a male peacock, a porcupine and Forest Buffalo.

Some very colourful and interesting birds crossed our path – the Crowned Crane and Scarlet Ibis. We also saw ...
