    ... We did try the local drinks here though, run with sugar on the rocks with weirdly shaped glasses. If you took a glass and rotated the part that holds the fluid about 30degrees you would be close to the glass that we were using.

    Upon finishing the drink we jumped aboard the dingy and set sail for Martinique. Due to reports of thefts from boats and robberies, we were skipping Dominica the island of rain forests ...

    ... sailing. With wave directions slightly side on to the boat crossing the spaces between the islands was rougher than a lot of the ocean crossing! But in the lea of the island it was smooth sailing to the anchorage. Arriving in the twilight hours we nosed into the anchorage as the night lights were turning on. Dusk treated us well as we dropped anchor with reasonably good visibility.

    ... of the other excursions but use the ships tender to get to join up with the sports team and a few guests on Purple Turtle beach. Plan is to do some Pico dinghy sailing and Kayaking but enthu not there by the time we arrive and we walk on the beach.
