It was pretty annoying and a little scary since I somehow did not catch the names of the stations we were supposed to change the trains and get off in the end. It was so easy to lose the other classmates in such a huge mass of people and on top of that one of my wheels of my suitcase broke and I struggled to keep up with the group's pace. Well, I signed up for Moscow, and I got the full experience of this big metropolitan city. ...

... in a 16 bed dorm. Still, it was much better than a cramped train cabin with no fresh air. Sverre had booked us in for a free walking tour of Moscow starting at 10.30am. I asked the new hostel worker if we could leave our bags in storage and she grumpily said yes. We found out later that she was rather hungover from the night before. We walked for half an hour to the meeting place of the tour. The tour guide was a hilarious short Russian girl who loved to crack a joke. ...

... out and head towards the front of the train, up the stairs and then out of the exit in front and to the left. Under an underpass and out; once you are clear of the shops, there should be red and white hooped chimney stacks diagonally opposite you. Walk away from those, down ul. Novinki, cross over and take a right into the park and left as soon as you're past the security barriers. Follow that road down and right, past the wooden reconstructed fort buildings, onto ...
