... and plain ol' dingy. Thank good for my puncture repair kit!! All the washing is done and we have another day here. Have to say it's been a real pleasant surprise being in Austria. Although when you try and speak to a fellow camper you feel like they're having a go at you (Dutch / German/ Austrian is such a fierce language) the pace and atmosphere of this place is very slow. This morning we took a guided tour from Munich to Salzburg, Austria. On this tour we are visiting the site of "The Sound of Music", Mozart's birthplace & home, 900 year old Hohensalzburg Fortress, oldest restaurant in Europe, the famous Cafe' Tomaselli, and the beautiful medieval "old town". We also saw Domkirche Cathedral and beautiful gardens. It was a 2 hour train ride to Salzburg and back. We also had some great Mozart Chocolate. It was a fun filled ...

... The tour finished at the Mirabell gardens where the Pegasus fountain is. Here the children sang "Doe a deer".
We walked back into the old town and found the cemetery where the Von Trapp family hid from the soldiers.

Tomorrow we are leaving for Innsbruck and l am excited about seeing more snow on the mountains.

... had never heard of Salzburg before, I questioned where it was (I know, bad geography!!!!) but when Amanda told me it was in Austria it was too good to be true so I just booked it YIPEEE.

It's a short and sweet introduction - from here we walked for hours on end, drank lots of wine and beer, ate lots of food - please follow my next entry to see what our adventure entailed. Do enjoy as much as we did!!
