It frreakin' SNOWED today. I was expecting a day of sunshine but I only got a 20 second preview of blue sky this morning outside of town on the way to Salzburg Zoo. Check out the first pic to see what I thought was the unveiling of the mountains I've been longing to see. But instead I got the beauty of snow for a few hours. It was only light, but so happy I got to see it (and it was the first snow of the season).

... a good deal of TLC. Then I read that this medieaval lane was, for a long time, part of the only road stretching from the north over the Alps and down as far as Venice! I imagine that! I was lost in daydreams of the travellers who might have made their way along these cobbles and through these doorways over the centuries... and here was I, walking the same cobbles, and getting a thrill from the very notion of it. I wanted to do an 'outlander' ...

... at the back of the Von Trapp House (This house wasn't in the movie, but the gazebo was in their back yard until they had it moved as they were sick of fans jumping the fence to see it.
* Then driving past the front fence and house of the Von Trapp's then past the trees that the children climb we arrived at the new home of the gazebo for more pictures.
