... through the old walled part of the city with a guide. We met our guide at 8am and for the next three hours she took us through narrow alleyways, into very old buildings and up and down cobbled streets. We visited the Palace of the Grand Master built on the highest point of the city and the Street of the Knights where the medieval knights lived after they were expelled from Jerusalem and before they went to Malta.

Hannah and Owen had jumped ship the night before, seeking cold air and comfortable sleep courtesy of Mr Dim. We said goodbye to Andy and Sabine with hugs and plans to meet in a few months in Thailand, then took a small yellow taxi to Fethiye to board the ferry from Turkey to Greece.
