... of the old city, which at various times was occupied at first by the Lycians around 2000-3000 BC and thereafter by Greeks, Romans, etc. Lunch beckoned by the river, and after that a visit to crab fisherman (turtles eat the crabs too), turtle beach again, and then back to our boat. A great tour for the day.

We spent several days at anchor in the Gocek Bay area, sometimes known as the Bay of 12 Islands. There are many bays here and you could ...

We sit up with some wine until late, it's still so warm. We wake late the following morning and head out for lunch. The food is amazing as always. We ordered iced coffee, beer and ouzo all at once (when ...

The taxi pulls up at the entrance of the old town, a cobblestone mini city inclosed by a medieval castle wall. We grab our bags and make our way through the ...

Basically a look at where the Collusus once stood, a trip down to Lindos with its Acropolis, via a ceramic place, and back up to the main city via Faliraki. It was pleasant and relaxing, the taxis were quite expensive (200€ each for 4 hours), our driver was nice but after Lindos on the return trip there wasn't much commentary. Liam was ...

... pride. Wow, these people work hard during the season. Evidently in winter close most of the businesses and ”catch up”. One young girl told us – she catches up on sleep first and then with her family and friends. Another fellow comes here from Armenia each year, for the summer. He said they are Kurdish and very poor. He’s been a waiter in TurunÁ for many years. He comes in April and stays until October. His boss – ...
