We love that here in Rovinj, although the population is 15,000, swelling to double this in the summer, you can basically find everything one would need to survive. There are shoe stores, 2 grocery stores, a green market, electronics store, shoe repair, jewelry, 3 churches, ...

Today we were leaving Porec and heading to our new apartment in Rovinj. Our apartment was not going to be ready until the afternoon so we had a couple of hours to stroll through Porec again. ... This was a our first look at the Adriatic on this side of Croatia. Right across, on a clear day, you can see Italy. We are at the very tippy top of the sea, so the water temperature is not as warm as down in Split, but Istria enjoys a milder summer.
