... to three drinks: 1. "Za vstrechi" - to our meeting 2. "Za zdrovie" - to our health and 3. "Na pososhok" - a goodbye drink ... it was impossible to leave without a goodbye drink, after which our host walked us out. We also learned that Russian vodka really is better than what we get in Canada. It tasted and went down like water. We had a great week with friends and we thought of ourselves as pretty lucky to be able to meet ...

... sky train and tuk tuk to the apartment. She was surprised to see that Santa had been there and left a stocking and some presents for her.
Saturday we took her for a walk around our neighbourhood and a visit to the local grocery store and then we went out for our family Christmas dinner at Patara (a Thai restaurant). They had a vast vegetarian menu for Stephanie to choose from and the atmosphere and presentation of the meal was really wonderful. On the table ...
