... shopping was pretty lousy. We spent about an hour hunting for an air-conditioned restaurant to have our lunch; its way to hot to eat al fresco.

After lunch, we looked through the shops for a while. Its all junk so we headed to Kata beach to take some photos and enjoy it a little longer. A tuk tuk ride later, we were back at our resort ready for a swim. Ruby covered up because she didn’t want anymore sunburn; its that ...

... We took their advice, and navigated the shallow bar into an idyllic bay. We joined Gary and Beverly for Mussaman Curry aboard their power cat, and met another cruising couple from Austria who had also been invited over. ... and see the nearby Koh Phi Phi and Maya Beach, location of the the movie 'the Beach'. The islands were beautiful, even if they were completely packed with people. But it's hard to blame everyone for wanting to see it as Maya Beach is one of the prettiest places I've ever seen. Later in the week we moved down the coast to Kata Beach where we continued our week of relaxing, talking about old college stories, and playing ...

... pretty sure you can, and Miley gives lessons for free!...He was also way too pushy on his pricey (Thailand prices) abdominal massage services. And David, the rock climbing yogi who would randomly start chanting this 40verse chant asking us to join in like we knew the words, or even understand what was going on. OR expect us to benefit from it. It was more chaotic than trying to follow Ukrainian mass. He told us stories of him in Mexico chanting the same mantra for 12 ...
