    ... shopping was pretty lousy. We spent about an hour hunting for an air-conditioned restaurant to have our lunch; its way to hot to eat al fresco.

    We arrived in Phuket and thanks to my friend Elise, met everyone from the gibbon project, which is our main reason for coming to Phuket. The centre is a wonderful project that rescues gibbons and educates people about the cruelty done to them. We started our stay by camping in the forest on our first night.
