    ... decided to drop by at a massive home improvement center which has a display area of 15Ha. Just because of its sheer size we felt that it would be interesting to visit. I'm not really into shopping but we were certainly impressed by the amount of choice in furniture that one can buy in this kind of place. We certainly don't have any similar type of shop in South Africa.

    ... is stunning, so green and so neat. The towns are spotless and the people are friendly. When we finally stopped we had run up a distance of 75 kms for the day. This is a new record for us on our bikes, our previous being 72 kms last year in Switzerland.

    ... are very neat with straight lines and happy livestock. It appears that the region specializes in milk production which is, I guess, used to produce Dutch cheese. There are also a fair number of very fat sheep around that produce both wool and lamb chops.

    Today we woke up to the sound of a screaming Northerly wind,
    so cold that it must have originated at the North Pole, and with it came an icy
    rain. We had a light breakfast and hung around hoping that the weather might
