Just a quick note. Spent a fabulous day on Corfu. This is what you think of when you think of Greece. We rented motor bikes and crusied the island. I will update more when we get back to Rome on Tuesday.

... of Corfu.  The main reason is the lack of access roads to the coast, so getting to the many coves is only possible by water, making it expensive and EXCLUSIVE.  I stayed in a very comfortable B & B where the young son brought me food from the family barbecue and made me feel thoroughly at home.
