... Tried to dilute it with Pepsi max, but it did nothing to reduce the strength.

When we finished lunch, the party was winding down so walked along the lane, had a drink and a chat to Pam and Will's friends and then home to another excellent meal courtesy of 'masterchef' Will.

Managed to lose most of my photos so will see what I can find on Facebook.

This morning I took Kate and Andrew to Arbanasi, a place Kate had been wanting to go ever since I first mentioned it last autumn!

Our first port of call was the wonderful Church of the Nativity; just as I thought, they were absolutely blown away by the fabulous, colourful frescoes covering almost every inch of the walls, ceilings and wooden beams.

... visiting his family in Edrine and was heading back to Uni in Sofia. He also told us the bus was always late. I could have kissed him! The bus finally arrived at close to 12:30 and a bus has never looked prettier! Mind you by that stage we were just about heat stressed as we had been standing in the baking sun for over an hour. See, it's not all beer and skittles. Once on the bus it was only a few Ks to the border. Given this was my first chance to give my hard learned Bulgarian a go ...

... shaking your head in a wobbly fashion means yes. This explained many other instances of miscommunications we'd had in the past week when ordering food, and in a way it was very funny. We sat and ate kebapche (a Balkan staple consisting of a log of fried mince, which I'm pretty sure ihs the same as Serbian chevapcheche) and then prepared to find the Soviet-UFO everybody was talking about.

It was an interesting mix of people. In some ways it was like a Scooby-Doo mystery, ...
