... later we arrived in the city center. It was cold, and rainy, but so beautiful. We walked around for a bit, exploring the city. Then, being the poor college students that we are, bought some basic groceries to have lunch. When traveling, does one need anything more than apples and peanut butter? When we were buying our goods we were talking to the cashier, he asked where we were all from, and when I said Missouri, he asked, "isn't that like redneck town?". Well no, but I ...

... authentic horse and carts etc making their way around the older areas. Recent bygone days are made up of completely relocated apartment buildings, shops of all sorts, jails service stations, etc etc! Must have been a huge cost to build, maintain and oversee, well worth the visit. Another display to finish the day before heading home is the Norwegian Maritime Museum. The Norwegians certainly have a proud history of boatbuilding and shipping that has carried through to the ...

... comfortable though.

On our first day we walked up the main city streets looking in little shops and boutiques. We then spent quite some time exploring the castle and fortress grounds. Our first day was our nicest day weather wise and were lucky to get some pretty views across the waterfront. In the afternoon we walked up the Royal Palace and then back to explore the Cathedral.

On our second day (Sunday) we ...
