Oslo: so much to do, so little time....

... They had a lift to the top of the jump - fantastic views and a first hand look at what faces the jumpers. No thanks. That basically finished off the morning for me. Back to the City for the History museum, which I found to be a little underwhelming. Whilst it had some displays dating back to the past, I found the medieval art display of church items most interesting. I stopped for a coffee (i.e. tea) and returned to the hotel. Later on ...

Goodbye to my Norwegian family

... of buying me a bus pass. They had it all payed for a printed! I was so shocked. They even drove me to the bus stop and waited 20 minutes with me until the bus arrived. I only hope they can visit in Oregon someday so I can return the great favors they have given me. There was a lectern dating back to 1574 and The Lord’s Prayer was carved into it in Danish, stemming from when the Danes controlled those ...

... evening started with drinks at a beautiful outdoor cafe in the harbor district. Even though it was quite cool out, the heat lamps made it very comfortable, and the view was spectacular. Dinner was at a wonderful Italian restaurant where we discovered that the restaurant was serving "catfish" ! No, it wasn't really catfish, it was some sort of whitefish, but that's what the English translation said on the menu and it gave us all a good laugh. :)
