Finally we headed off trying to find somewhere to have a late feed before a big sleep. Narita is a very sleepy little joint, when in comparison to Tokyo, or even Osaka, so it was hard to find exactly what we wanted. We thought we had found the perfect spot to grab some Okonomiyaki only to be told "we're closed!" by the old duck inside! We got some gyoza, rice and egg and karage from a chain style Izakaia and left it at that. Slept like babies.

Our private guide is meeting us at 9am ...

Not to mention, we would never hear the end of it ...

... whether or not that school has been black listed or white listed by other ESL teachers. Always try and talk to another English speaker at the school. See how long they have been there and what their experience has been like.

You’ve got a job offer in a city that you like with a school that seems to be on the up and up. Now you’ve got a couple more hoops to jump through. First is the E-2 health form. You should get this from the school ...

... to get out of the airport for an 8 hour layover. After our brunch we walked through a nearby temple site. The grounds were huge. We spent about an hour in there. There were many temples and pathways through serene gardens with water. It was a lot like the Japanese gardens in Lethbridge. We headed back to the airport at 2pm and exchanged my yen back to dollars, then eased through security. Our flight boarded at 4:10pm for our 9 hour flight to San ...
