... English. I had morning glory and it was delicious! Scott had some sort of bea sprout and noodle dish which tasted good as well! I'm pretty sure it all tasted so good because it wasn't McDonald's! The roads were pretty bad as we got further into the jungle, the monsoon season had battered them! Finally arriving at Bukit Lawang at 11pm, a guy took us over a crickety old bridge that rocked over a fat flowing river! Fabulous in the dark and rucksacks on! He was taking us to ...

... happy, healthy and well cared for. There wasn't much there- a girls and a boys dormitory in which there were loads of beds crammed in... but they each do have a bed (something that wasn't true until fairly recently), a little room with an old TV, a medieval looking kitchen and loads of open space with rice padddies and a little river running through. We ended up paying about 115 each for the tour. It was peak season, and as far as I could tell this was about average on our boat. If you're not traveling in peak season or you've got a bigger group, or you're just better at haggling than me, you should be able to get a better price.

... stuffy in the room. We go to the in-house travel agent Helios Travel, to see about a trip to Mt Bromo, it's quite expensive LP are way off on their costs, we just get a price at this stage. We go for a mini city tour on foot around the area, it's a busy city again without pavements, if there is people are parked on them or trees roots have destroyed them. The city has many avenues and a couple obviously quite wealthy as ...

... out to be right. The first day the weather was not great, so a good excuse for catching up on some sleep. And for opening the wine we brought. At night we discovered some strange lights in the sea in front of our hut which turned out to be plankton. This attracted other people and turned our little terrace into the place to be. Great party, nice people and a lot of empty bearcans outside our hut in the morning. I think Nicole has found some ...
