So at about 4.30 we arrived at the viewpoint and we were certainly not alone and found a plethora of jeeps and chilly tourists both westerm and indonesian and the local salesmen of course offering coats, T-shirt and other stuff. However the hot tea was nice! Harry guided is to a nice unofficial viewing spot where we had ...

... is awesome. Its on the top floor of the Helios Hotel and has either wooden bungalows to stay in or a big wooden dorm with huge beds. The staff are really friendly; the bathrooms are really clean with hot water; the food is good; and best of all its cheap – only 50,000INR a night. Spent the next morning exploring the town and seeing the sights. These included the flower/plant market which was way better than Yogyakartas, then to the bird market which ...
