Bulls blood? Yes please!
... Women. More activity here than yesterday and a few more cellars open. We embarked on a mini cellar crawl around the horseshoe street, getting decilitres of wine to try. More bulls blood was had, and we tried a semi-sweet which was also extremely drinkable. No idea what it was called, or whether it was still bulls blood. The Valley of the Beautiful Women
... all year round. Most of the cellars were closed, and we only saw 2 other people wandering around. We were feeling a bit peckish, so we chose a cafe instead of a cellar and vowed to come back earlier tomorrow. We did order some bulls blood wine at the cafe, also a bowl of chips and a cheese platter. Grand total of NZ$10. There was so much cheese on the platter, I was all cheesed out by the end! Eger
Arrived in Eger today - a small town of ONLY 60,000 people. I should also mention that it was a balmy 38 degrees here - goodbye Melbourne winter, hello ridiculous tan line. Spent the day having a wander around the town (having pre and post lunch ice cream) before heading off to the Valley of Beautiful Women for wine tasting. The Basilica and The Library

Today I am finally over the jet lag and up at my usual time in the morning.
This morning we had an early breakfast and then headed over to the Basilica. The Basilica is pretty amazing and my words will not even come close to expressing just how amazing it is so i'm not even going to try! The fresco ceilings, marble columns, huge altar, is really something to see.
