    ... up camp we took our bikes for a short ride down to the dyke to look at the sea. The sea is very flat and very shallow. The rocks were covered in small mussels and close to the harbor there were oyster beds with huge oysters. The area is a holiday destination and is fantastic for sailing, kite boarding, cycling, bird watching and hiking.

    And so back to camp for a braai with cold drinks.

    ... were on our planned route so that we would hopefully stay on track. What we didn't realize is that we had three ferries to catch. Ferries over around 20-40 meters of water admittedly, but ferries none the less. Our failure to predict these ferries resulted in us getting temporarily lost again.

    ... bicycle trails are very well mapped and marked so it shouldn't have presented any problems, however we failed to take into account that the different trails not only criss-crossed each other but also shared the same numbers. So when we arrived at say point 99 we discovered that there were several point 99's on our map and we had no idea which was which.     ... are beautifully
    maintained with lush lawns, spotlessly clean ablutions and electricity for all
    sites. Many have free WiFi which is a real blessing when one is trying to run a
    business away from home.

    After catching up with all our office work we went for a
    short walk in the wind and rain before cooking up a quality South African curry
    and climbing into our upstairs bed.
