... demolition derby ..... monster trucks and finished with a fireworks display .... all in all very impressive .
We popped back over today and watched wood chopping .... a circus .... and checked out a few of the animals that were part of the show . The other crazy thing we watched last night was pig races .... that's trained piglets who race around this course to find the food at the finish line . A bit of humour for sure.

... a bit of chilling on the beach. The evening was much the same, a second night of no alcohol; we don't have the two Germans influencing us making us drink goon every night! This morning we are leaving Magnetic Island and heading five hours to Cairns. We were supposed to be stopping off at Mission Beach for our skydive but the weather looks pretty minging there for the next week so we've bypassed that for now. There is an island just a short ferry ride from Townsville aptly named Magnetic. It is a tropical paradise rising abruptly out of the ocean to a 400m peak. I know, I trekked every meter up.
