... stunning coves and turquoise waters, up into the hills and pine plantations, through local villages and then back to the coast at Fethiye.
Staying at a hotel above the yacht marina and port which is huge and has some incredibly expensive and enormous yachts and motor launches, a lot of which are covered for winter. The population is about 80,000, and it's a big tourist spot for British people apparently, and obviously a prosperous and modern city.

Today we left after a very poor breakfast – this hotel was the least impressive so far! Except for the great hot spa! We drove south to a town called Aphrodisia – what another great surprise this place was. It is the only site that has only been discovered by Turkish excavators. Once again it was amazing to wonder through many ruins mainly in honour of the god Aprodsia – Goddess of Love. ...
... enjoy the trip we departed. Luckily the music in the boat was so loud that Adagrace's screams were almost unnoticeable. Our first stop was an island called spring waters. They said the water was going to be really cold but it wasn't. I took Adagrace in the water since she was crying anyways. She played for a bit and we went back to the boat. ... turnaround that superman in a phone box would have been proud of for some shopping and that includes haggling! Back to the Buzz bar for cocktails, mezze and great music - temperature has dropped tonight so the gave us lovely fleecy pashminas so that we could remain on the terrace. More shopping and back to the hotel but too late for dinner although there is a late snack at 11 for those wanting it - still full after large lunch and mezze.

Last nights dinner was a goat which was put on a spit, which cooked throughout the afternoon. Glad I am a vegetarian! Managed a few beers to celebrate my belated birthday!
