We got an unexpected surprise when we reached Fethiye. We got to our hostel and when to the terrace bar for a drink, overlooking the bay. Within a minute of sitting down and ordering a drink, I looked over the rail and sore our 2 friends from Canberra who we did our tour of Egypt with! We knew they were in turkey but we were planning on catching up in Istanbul. It was a happy accident that we bumped into them about 1200 kilometers away! We had ...

I quite agree... A fab area with very friendly people who are very willing to make you feel welcome...I don't think we could have bettered the blue lagoon at Sun City....sun beds on the edge of a picturesque bluest of blue stretches of water...

We have eaten very well. (too well actually!!).... Done our little bit of culture , getting there by the local buses, which was surprisingly easy.... ...

... we enjoyed watching (as opposed to jumping) numerous paragliders floating down over the sea to make a very neat landing near the beach. As our friends prepared to jump (tandum, of course) we sailed to St. Nicholas Island where we climbed past the many ruins associated with St. Nicholas who dates from the 3rd century. When we reached the top of hill we enjoyed an incredibly beautiful view and sunset. It was hard to leave but night was falling and there would be no light to make ...
