... and puddings and were always showing the football, plus the staff were really nice and it was cheap. A total winner. Ouarzazette is also the home of cinema in Morocco and has two big studios used for major films. On the first day we decided to visit one of the studios and Jack reckoned he could direct us there on foot. He was wrong and we ended up walking in the wrong direction for about an hour. We got pretty lost in the residential back lanes, it turned out to be ...

We asked our friendly driver to drop us at the turn off for Ait-Ben-Haddou, about 20km before Ouarzazate. This would save us time going all the way into Ouarzazate and back. Day 162
2 hrs, 3.0 kms

The next day I have two objectives in opposite directions: one is to hike up this river valley a bit further, even though I know I’m not going to be able to reach the end of this "Valley Civilization" on this trip… the other is head back to the main highway all hike to Ouarzazate, thus creating a Superhike. I decide to continue on forward for as long as I dare, than catch some sort of transportation back.

But first ...
