    ... such as chicken feet, dates, prawns, fish, mushrooms, cabbage and the most popular was a type of braised pork coated in a dark sweet sauce which just virtually 'fell apart', our favourite!

    After the lunch it was off again to further explore the ancient town and its narrow lanes for a few hours, and improve our Chinese speaking skills and our bargaining skills at the local stores. A great time was had by all!

    0730 wake up call, down for breakfast before finishing our packing and checking out at 0900. We then made a 2hr drive from Shanghai to Wuzhen.     Emily suggested we head out to this area for a night. It is seen as an escape from the city where the air is much less polluted and there is a lot of forest area. To get here we took a bullet train to Hangzhou and then another to Deqing. From Deqing we took a taxi for around 40mins to the mountains. Had I not have been with someone who can get by with their Chinese i would never have made it here or even known about it. ...
