... quiet with only about half the sunbeds occupied. None of the new palm trees had yet fallen down but their foliage was not looking very healthy. Maybe they will take a season to bed in properly (or die?). I had a lovely chicken larb for lunch and later in the afternoon did a bit of shopping in the market. There was another brief shower of rain as I walked home but it did little to freshen the air. It continued to be extremely hot and humid.

She is a bit of a party animal and soon had everyone (except for me) signed up to go by taxi or motorbike over to Bang Niang Beach for a full moon party. After a few hours at the beach, I heard later, they returned to the Monkey Bar in Bang Niang where they continued drinking until 5.00am!
