    ... quiet with only about half the sunbeds occupied. None of the new palm trees had yet fallen down but their foliage was not looking very healthy. Maybe they will take a season to bed in properly (or die?). I had a lovely chicken larb for lunch and later in the afternoon did a bit of shopping in the market.     ... his hotel. He didn’t want to go to the market he said but agreed to join me on the beach for an hour or two in the afternoon. After breakfast I wandered around the shops looking for a memento of Khao Lak to give Phil as a parting gift, had lunch at Green Beach Café once more and then waited on the beach for Phil.     ... generally tired too after a full day of lessons at school. Instead we played some ball games where they had to call out words in English and also sang some songs before joining them in a game of volley ball.
