... landing back in Busan, an odd thing happened....I actually felt like I was home. I never thought I'd say that about Korea, but it did feel that way. And I was actually looking forward to coming "home", eating Korean food, and being able to speak with people. I never thought I'd say that, but it was a nice feeling! That is, until I was shoved and bumped and confronted with rude and inconsiderate Koreans- and I realized that yes, I AM home. The good and the bad!
... that always matter, but the presentation and the packaging. Maybe that's stripping down many things, and an over-generalization, but it's at least true of Japanese cuisine, without knocking down how absolutely delicious the contents are anyhow. I'm losing myself here.
The return home was long. Utsumi takes about 50 minutes by train back to Nagoya. So another 50, another 60, and another 120 minutes, and I'm getting a ride with Derek, trying to get to another station before ...
... to get to Higashi-Okazaki, we went for tacoyaki and then she also showed me how to take the bus to Aeon Mall. I bought an elephant cel phone charm and a double highlighter pen. We got home had dinner which consisted of a seaweed soup (yummy!), this really good egg/onion potato thing, lots of salad and yam noodles I ...

Nagoya, Japan srvance... side. Really though, the relationship had hit its critical point back during Golden Week. It was clear from discussions then that we just plain didn't have a future together. As tough as it is to let someone go that you've been close to, sometimes it needs to be done to save both sides from worse pain. As the title of this entry suggests though, I'm not really going to be single for long from the looks of things ...
Nagoya, Japan xerius... He has fully learned one of the three written systems, and is working on the second. He has also been practicing spoken Japanese almost every day, and he is building quite the vocabulary. For example, he knows how to say spoon (supuun), lettuce (retasu), lobster (robusutaa), fork (fooku), lemon (remon), basketball (basuketto booru), and so on. He sits at the computer every night and exchanges little dialogues with the computer generated teaching lady. Me? I have been ...
