    I met Koji, whilst having dinner in a restaurant. We decided to do a road trip to Kamikochi and the sightseeing spots around the highlands.

    Had an amazing day,the weather was playing along and travelling in a car for a change felt just like heaven :)

    We finished the day off, by soaking in an outdoor hot spring. What more can you want!?! :)

    ... two villages with very old traditional gassho-style houses. Gassho means "praying hands". The two villages where very cute but also very very touristic. I will notice that I really like rice fields (I you haven't already noticed that from pictures earlier this trip) and I felt in love with Japanese temples, houses and gardens. I hope I don't bore you with my pictues ...

    Today, I woke up at 5:45 and got breakfast. I had egg on top of rice and miso soup. I ate fast and did more last minute packing. By the time I got down, the car was ready and I climbed in. I said bye to the grandma and the dad was asleep. So it was just me and the mom.

    Aside from sake, we'd be remiss if we didn't mention the incredibly succulent, melt in your mouth, Hida Beef. We didn't know it when we arrived but soon found out this was a good alternative to the more expensive and famous Wagyu beef. Best of all, it was everywhere!
