Hello everyone, well unlike Faye I have been a bit slack on keeping the blog up to date, probably because I have been working and not doing as much exciting stuff! So what can I say about life in Bris-vegas so far? Well I have moved into the nicest house in an area called Kangaroo Point and I love the Australianness of that name! The house is rented out by an interiour designer so its lovely inside. Although my room has a very strange smell and I cant work out what it is, at first I thought i...

... in all it was a good night, and the next day, I slept for 20 hours, which was even better.
In the last week we have just been taking it easy again, driving round view points and going in the sea a bit... We did meet some police who had a chat with us, and, no word of a lie, suggested we go to a place called "Nimbin" if we want to smoke some pot??? I don't quite know what was going on there, but I wont complain...

... documentation can be accessed via this system and printed out in advance. It even includes equipment manuals and customer feedback forms.
What is even more impressive is that Queensland shared this system and offered it free to all other states. All but two accepted the offer and it is working very well. I would recommend this system completely as it is all that we want a good system to be and more. There seems to be something said for doing it yourself eh?
... 2x Red belly blacks!!
By the time we saw the 4th snake I had jumped on to the back of the Ute!! I was freaking out lol! After that every noise I heard, I jumped lol!
We also saw 2x cows get butchered, (not nice) as they had 2x lame cows, that had a broken something or other + were no use!
It was quite sad to leave the training farm, as we all had so much fun! But our group from Rainbow Beach got split up, so we were really excited for ...

In my efforts to be an authentic, and one might say arrogant traveller, refusing to speak in English to my foreign friends, I have insisted on giving myself a crash course on Mandarin - iPOD stylie. An ancient language so removed from what I know that I figure hey, let's just learn the basics. Ni hao - hello, Xiexie - thank you, and the most essential phrase for all emergencies: Qing gei wo pijui - i'd like a beer please. Sorted.

... on the other end of the line!
I'm not too sure how often we'll get to update our page. I'm quite a techno-tard (as Andrew calls me) so I might resort to emails if it gets a bit too difficult. I can also send emails from my iphone meaning I don't need to waste time in internet cafes (More time for cafes and sightseeing!). So we'll see how it goes. You can always email me at my gmail address if you need to contact me.
Only 15 1/4 hours to go! Stay tuned!

... www.travellers-autobarn.com.au - it sounded more like a german motorway...) but it was exactly the same model so we knew what to expect. We initially spent a couple of days in Cairns during which we took the typical tour on the Great Barrier Reef. Even if we thought we already had enough and the best possible snorkeling in Galapagos, we really enjoyed the Australian Reef: the big difference with Galapagos was actually the reef itself (what a ...
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia melmax... went to the local Coles for some lunch and bought a half a cooked chicken and some bits to eat for dinner. It was only round the corner once you got up heart attack hill, thank god we are near the top of it. After lunch I went to the dorm and watched a few episodes of "how I met your mother" on my laptop and then swapped the book I'd finished for another at the hostel book swap thingy. Sam got back from shopping and ...
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia oldhamguy... There is a huge sign like a gateway on Roma street saying Roma Parklands, however this is only a tiny piece of grass and gravel, not the "largets sub-tropical gardens" we were looking for. We walked around the corner and up a few streets and largely through guess work found where we needed to be. Along the way we found an interesting table, a very long way from a road that had a sign on 3 sides of it saying "Reserved for Tour Coaches". We sat down in the park by a ...
Brisbane, Australia yvetteandjack... tired to do crazy partying, but wasn't ready to call it a night so we went to this outdoor bar across the street from Adam's apartment the Royal Exchange. I ordered two pint glasses, then we quickly switched to pitchers --er jugs of beer as we realized pints wouldn't cut it. I lost count of how many Adam and I went through, but it was a lot. Our drunken conversations turned into incoherent ramblings, so we called it a night, stumbling back to his apartment a short walk away.
