... Balkan history is very complex and rooted in centuries of ethnic rivalries. On Friday, 5/9, we traveled to Pizren which is regarded by many to be the most beautiful town in Kosovo. Friday is the Muslim holy day and it was a beautiful sunny day so the streets were full of people. Ah, the 4pm bus to Sofia. After being on full Romanian buses it was nice to travel with a Bulgarian company and return to a half empty coach (and 2 seats to spread myself across!) The journey itself remained highly uneventful, which is a shame really, as it doesn't give me much to report!

I spent the rest of the day walking around the city, and then chilled at the hotel for a couple hours in the afternoon. ... Eqypt in the Luxor, New York New York, etc. Its also not done yet, so there is a lot of construction. I hope my pictures convey the kind of museum cacophony that is being created.
