... a huge shrine called yasaka shrine. There was also two temples also to view. Every where we walked we were amazed by the beauty and how huge the place was. It was so peaceful and quiet . ... bound to be even better, although by western standards most likely on the sweet side. Our lunch consisted of a hearty chicken soup, made from the 27 chickens freshly butchered the previous week. It was tasty and filling and oh so delightful after a week of enforced vegetarianism due to a wwoofer who lived a macrobiotic lifestyle.
